Indianapolis is in Indiana, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Indianapolis follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

We had dinner at Wisanggeni Pawon and really enjoyed the experience. The nasi goreng was delicious, and the Indo Spicy dish truly lived up to its name, it packed a flavorful kick that we absolutely loved. The fried chicken geprek was a little underwhelming compared to the other dishes, but it certainly won’t stop us from coming back. We also tried the Ice Cendol, which is one of their best-selling menu items. I think it’s an acquired taste. For me, it was a bit sweeter and than I prefer and felt meh. Would try something else next time.

Ordered several foods, the taste was like playing Russian roulette. Take the Batagor menu for example, one bite i taste nothing, next bite it's suuuuper salty it fried my tongue. Portions are big, even for their appetizers, but big doesn't equally tasty, imho. Service was curt, i can't say i was well pleased even though I didn't ask much. Other than that, they have interesting selections of Indonesian goods like snacks and sambal

If you reside in Indiana, Wisanggeni Pawon is a must-try restaurant if you are a fan of Indonesian cuisine or eager to experience Indonesia without having to buy a plane ticket. They maintain the authenticity of the cuisine. Won best restaurant award for two years in a row, invited to Indy 500, got covered by local TV and news. My favs are their "tahu isi", "tempe mendoan" for appetizers. For main courses, try their "lamb maranggi satay", "chicken satay", "bebek madura", "tongseng" and of course you should try their "rendang-once voted as the world's most delicious food by CNN Travel readers". For desserts, try their "martabak manis" and "es doger" or "es cendol". Wine pairing is also available for special occasion. While you are there, you can also buy Indonesian snacks and beverages which are also available in the local markets. They also carry "frozen rendang" from the famous Indonesian chef, William Wongso, who accompanied chef Gordon Ramsay to travel to Indonesia and learn how to cook authentic " beef rendang". Try also their Sumatra coffee--beans purchased from Hubbard&Cravens Coffee. The owners and the staffs are also very friendly and knowledgeable about each cuisine.

Indonesian restaurant! All the food and drinks we tried were delicious, and this restaurant is a popular spot. PRO TIP: Make a reservation ahead of time! Don't be like us and show up on 7:45pm on a Friday night. We waited 20-25min to be seated as a table of two. WHAT WE ATE: Iced Coffee Indo - Indonesian Iced Coffee Latte with palm sugar syrup ------mildly sweet coffee. I liked this a lot! Es Cendol - Pandan droplets mungbean flour jelly, coconut milk, palm sugar syrup ------they give you a spoon and boba straw! It has a lot in it to eat and you need to mix it well because the sweet syrup is at the bottom Martabak Telor (Crispy Beef Omelette) - Crispy skin omelette with Halal ground beef cooked in curry seasoning, bunch of scallion, white onions comes with sweet chili sauce. ------savory, crunchy what feels like a casserole/omelette. We loved this, esp with that sweet cause! Tahu Isi - Battered, deep fried tofu with veggie filling. -------This felt a bit like an egg roll with a tofu puff serving as the outside. It was good, but we weren't crazy about it Grilled Red Snapper - Grilled whole red snapper, sambal rica manado. -------Carter enjoyed eating this. The outside was lig

As travelers, we've had food from all over the world, but Indonesian is a bit harder to find in the states. We were happy to have found Wisanggeni and surprised further at how good they are. My husband and I ordered the duck and beef main dishes, chicken satay and lumpia. For drinks he ordered the iced coco drink and I the lychees tea. Everything was amazing and the flavors were bold and brought my flavor palette back to life. There's a little corner in the restaurant that they sell Indonesian snacks/foods/drinks to bring home. They even had some cool T-shirts for sale by the register that I really enjoyed but I couldn't find and prices for them. My only complaint was the prices ....they felt a smidge higher than they probably should have been. That and the tavern next door had an outdoor tent that was really rambunctious the day we went- blaring music and people yelling/cheering outside really kind of brought down the mood. That's not the restaurants fault at all I know, but regardless it was unfortunate. If you or a friend/partner are looking for something different to try and have a bit of extra spending money, I'd really suggest this place. (Just maybe not during 'Game Day')
